The students who come to do their graduation in this institution are often first generation learners from families which have hardly any formal education culture. Our institutional mission is to tap these students and cultivate among them skills that they might use either for self-employment or for seeking jobs in the employment market even as we inculcate values of citizenship and discipline. Our admission policy is also in line with our institutional mission to spread education among the educationally and economically backward communities of society. Therefore, we have made it almost a matter of policy to give admission to all those students who approach us with a simple pass percentage in their 12th examination.

Though the curriculum is standardized for affiliated colleges of Shri Govind Guru University, Godhara (Gujarat University), our college has taken steps to supplement the dissemination of basic information with several value-added learning experiences. Week-long Orientation lectures are held at the beginning of every academic year. Students of the Departments of Sociology, Commerce, Psychology and Economics are involved in In-house survey and research activities while “Meet the Author” programs are regularly arranged by the Gujarati Department. Seminars, workshops and Guest lectures by subject experts also widen the horizons of our students. In addition, study tours and industrial visits enable learning through experience. In line with Gujarat University rules, we conduct 2 internal tests at the college apart from the year-end final University examinations.
